MILWAUKEE (December 3, 2021) – The Brewtown Rumble, presented by Royal Enfield North America, will be held on Sunday, August 7, 2022 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Deer District. The Milwaukee-based vintage motorcycle show will be in this new location after a two-year hiatus related to the pandemic. Now in its sixth year, the Rumble continues to grow and build its reputation among vintage motorcycle enthusiasts. The event will be hosted by and served as a fundraiser for the BUILD Moto Mentor Program.
“This city has a rich motorcycle history and culture full of riders who appreciate, ride and maintain a variety of bikes,” said Kevin Frank, BUILD board president and organizer of Brewtown Rumble. “The motorcycle show will showcase multiple riding styles from new to vintage, racing to touring – everything from Harleys to Royal Enfields and more.”
The Rumble is a free, ride-in vintage motorcycle street festival with a show featuring bikes 35 years or older. The bike show is open to anyone with a stock or custom antique, vintage or retro motorcycle. All makes and models are encouraged, and everyone is welcome – riders and moto-enthusiasts alike. In past years, the event drew over 100 vintage bikes, included live local music and had a curated selection of vendors and food. Also on display will be the bikes built by students who participated in the BUILD program.
Proceeds from the Rumble will go to the BUILD Moto Mentor Program, a non-profit organization dedicated to building trade and life skills through motorcycle fabrication. The program offers local high school students the opportunity to be exposed to the trades while developing important business and interpersonal skills. Teams compete throughout the season by managing a budget, completing tasks based on a project timeline, having their bikes judged by the public and in the end, get raced at several local events. The students are rewarded and recognized along the way. This year 11 teams from local high schools will compete.
"We are excited to see the BUILD program reignited after a long break due to the pandemic,” said Bree Poland, Lead Marketing of Royal Enfield. “Royal Enfield is committed to being a valuable partner with this educational and inspirational program that helps give our city's youth a platform to obtain skills that will aid them in their future."
