MILWAUKEE, WI (Aug. 3, 2026) – NCG Hospitality, together with representatives from the Milwaukee Bucks and the City of Milwaukee, will celebrate the groundbreaking of the AC Hotel Milwaukee Downtown on Wednesday, Aug. 5, at 3 p.m. at the hotel’s future site at 430 West State Street, in Milwaukee’s Deer District.

The ceremony will bring together civic, business and development leaders, including Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson; Michael Belot, Bucks SVP of Business Operations and Chief Real Estate Development Officer; Jeff Lenz, President and Chief Executive Officer of NCG Hospitality; Andy Inman, Chief Development Officer of NCG Hospitality; Alderman Bob Bauman; Lafayette Crump, Milwaukee Commissioner of City Development; Darren Noak, President of Tri-North Builders, Commercial Division.

The new hotel will serve as a distinctive destination for guests visiting Milwaukee, offering modern, high-end accommodations in the heart of downtown. Located in Deer District, the city’s 30-acre sports, entertainment and mixed-use neighborhood anchored by Fiserv Forum, the AC Hotel Milwaukee Downtown will build on the continued momentum of one of Milwaukee’s most active destinations. The project will build on NCG Hospitality’s investment in Milwaukee, including The Trade, an Autograph Collection Hotel located two blocks north in Deer District. The two hotels combined will provide 363 additional guestrooms to support the expanded Baird Center and other demand in Milwaukee.

NCG Hospitality will develop, own and operate the AC Hotel Milwaukee Downtown, with Tri-North Builders serving as construction manager. The hotel is anticipated to open Late 2027.

Inspired by AC Hotels’ signature “Perfectly Precise Hotel™” experience, AC Hotel Milwaukee Downtown will feature intuitive design, purposeful details and refined spaces designed to deliver a comfortable, elegant and unobtrusive stay. Guests will also enjoy convenient access to Fiserv Forum, Landmark Credit Union Live, Baird Center and the many sports, entertainment and dining offerings throughout Deer District and Downtown Milwaukee.

“AC Hotel Milwaukee Downtown reflects our continued commitment to the City of Milwaukee and the long-term growth of Deer District,” said Andy Inman, Chief Development Officer for NCG Hospitality. “With its thoughtful design, refined guest experience, and proximity to Milwaukee’s premier sports, entertainment and convention destinations, this hotel will be an ideal complement to Fiserv Forum, Landmark Credit Union Live, Baird Center, and our award-winning Trade Hotel.”

“We are ecstatic to partner with NCG Hospitality again in bringing another high-quality hotel to Deer District,” said Michael Belot, Bucks SVP of Business Operations and Chief Real Estate Development Officer. “AC Hotel Milwaukee Downtown will continue to build on the promise of Deer District becoming Milwaukee’s place to work, live and play while offering best-in-class accommodations, food and beverage.”

The hotel will offer approximately 156 thoughtfully designed guest rooms with a sense of openness, ample surfaces and intuitive storage to help guests feel organized and at ease. Tech-enabled rooms will include mobile check-in and check-out, keyless entry, motion-sensor lighting, in-room internet TV, abundant power and USB outlets, and fast, free Wi-Fi. Guests can also enjoy the AC Lounge, featuring handcrafted cocktails and small plates in the evening, along with AC Kitchen, which offers a European-inspired breakfast each morning.
